Brief
Our client came to us before YSchool had a name, a logo, or a single student enrolled. What she had was a clear conviction: that the way we educate children is broken, and she had built something better. A model where kids master core academics in three focused hours a day and spend the rest learning how to actually navigate life, movement, real-world skills, emotional intelligence, all built in by design. The challenge wasn't the idea. The idea was great. The challenge was making it legible. Guatemala's education market is saturated with schools claiming to be "different," and parents — especially the skeptical, research-driven parents Y School was built for — have heard it all before. We needed to build a brand that could earn trust before it earned enrollment.

We started with the name. Y School, because the most powerful question a child can ask is Why? From there, we built a visual identity that didn't apologize for being different: a bold primary red, confident editorial typography, and a system clean enough to scale from a campus sign to a social post. The brand strategy anchored everything around four commitments — Kids Love School, Mastery-Based Learning, Real-World Skills, and Physiology First — giving parents a framework to understand the model without needing a 20-minute pitch. The website was designed to convert the skeptic: leading with feeling, following with evidence, and always ending with a clear next step. The result is a brand built for a school that doesn't exist yet in Guatemala, and confident enough to say so.
